What Mushroom does
Mushroom is a status race: its spores have a 16% chance to inflict the Poison effect on enemies. The numbers above are the ones Roonby publishes; the game may change them in a patch, so the page carries its last-checked date.
Races are one of the first choices you make in Pixel Lineage, and unlike a class they come from a roll rather than a pick, so what you keep is a trade between the bonus and how many spins you are willing to spend. Our races tier list shows the whole table side by side.
Mushroom tier and drop chance
Roonby ranks Mushroom in B tier out of S to D, and it is the only published list we found that covers every race, so the rank on this page is that one list rather than a consensus. Roonby says Poison pressures enemies over the course of a fight, which suits players who like status-based combat.
Mushroom makes up 4.3% of the race table, about one spin in 23 on average (our arithmetic from the published chance). Its rarity group, Rare, adds up to 23.8% of the table across 4 races, so rolling any rare race is far more likely than rolling a Mythic one.
Strengths and weaknesses of Mushroom
- Strength: Spores have a 16% chance to inflict Poison
- Limit: because the Poison depends on a 16% chance, Roonby warns it is less consistent than the races with direct stat bonuses.
How to get Mushroom
You get Mushroom from a Race Spin, which rerolls your current race. New players receive three free Race Spins, and more come from codes, in-game events and the Robux shop, per Roonby. There is no way to pick a race directly, so every spin is a fresh draw from the table at 4.3% for Mushroom.
Who should pick Mushroom
Players who enjoy status effects and long fights where damage over time pays off.
