Pixel Lineage Best Class: How to Pick Your Class

Pixel Lineage best class: why Warrior is the easiest first class, what each of the six base classes does and how to decide between their Super classes.

5 min readLast checked Sources

The Pixel Lineage best class for a first character is Warrior, according to the one beginner guide we read, but the choice that really sticks comes later: your Super class. This guide covers why Warrior is the easy start, what the six base classes do, and how to choose among the 18 Super class branches when you reach the shrine.

Pixel Lineage best class for beginners: Warrior

The beginner guide we read recommends Warrior first because its attack pattern is simpler than some other classes. That leaves your attention for the part that decides runs, reacting to enemy attacks, dodging and quick-time events, instead of a complicated moveset. The same guide says you can try Thief, Mage and the others once you know the basics, so your first class does not have to be your last.

How to choose a Super class

Each base class branches into three Super classes at the Trainer's Shrine, which you can reach from The Dungeon onward. The choice is permanent for that hero, and the later Ultra form has to match the branch you pick. The source we read does not rank the 18 branches and says there is no need to assume one is universally stronger, so we show no class tier list; choosing is about role.

  • Want to stay close and hit hard with a simple pattern: Warrior, with Berserk, Sentinel or Greatsword.
  • Want to set traps, mark targets or fight with animals: Thief, with Rogue, Assassin or Beast Tamer.
  • Want to support your team or control the battlefield: Mage, with Cleric, Hexer or Summoner.
  • Want repeated physical strikes: Fist, with Monk, Brawler or Oni.
  • Want healing songs or offensive music: Bard, with Minstrel, Siren or Pianist.
  • Want to stay at range: Archer, with Ranger, Deadeye or Corsair.

The super classes guide lists all 18 branches with their three moves and when each unlocks.

Pick the weapons that go with your class

Every class uses its own weapon type, and the weapons tier list ranks 47 of them. The advice we read is to step up rather than jump straight to T4: forge a mid-tier weapon first, then the top one. The weapon forging guide has the Gold and materials for each tier, and your race and talent are rolled separately from the class.

Pixel Lineage best class FAQ

There is no published tier list for classes, so no class is proven best. Warrior is the recommended first class, and the source says no Super class branch is universally stronger.

Can you change class later in Pixel Lineage?

Your first class does not have to be permanent, and the guide we read says to try other classes once you know the basics. The Super class you choose at the shrine is permanent for that hero.

Six base classes: Warrior, Thief, Mage, Fist, Bard and Archer. Each has three Super classes, which makes 18 branches.

Which class is best for solo play in Pixel Lineage?
