Pixel Lineage super classes are the second step of your class: each of the six base classes branches into three, which makes 18 in all. This guide covers how to unlock them, when each of their three moves arrives, and what every branch does, from Berserk to Corsair.
How to unlock Pixel Lineage super classes
You choose a Super class at the Trainer's Shrine, which becomes available from The Dungeon onward. Reaching it shows three options for your base class. The how-to-unlock guide we read advises getting decent gear before you go, because the choice is permanent for that hero. If you are not sure which base class to commit to first, the best class guide compares the six, and the beginner guide covers what to do before The Dungeon.
When each Super class move unlocks
- Move 1: unlocks the moment you choose the branch.
- Move 2: unlocks at level 10.
- Move 3: unlocks at level 14.
The later Ultra form has to match the Super class you pick, so a choice at the shrine also decides which Ultra you can reach. The source we read does not give names for the Ultra forms, so we list none.
Warrior Super classes: Berserk, Sentinel, Greatsword
Roonby calls Warrior one of the easiest first classes: its attack pattern is simpler than some other classes, so you spend less effort on the moveset and more on learning combat.
- Berserk: injury-driven sword attacks, a pressure-style melee branch. Its three moves are Rending Cross, Ruin, and Bloodbath.
- Sentinel: counters and guard-breaking. Its three moves are Oathbreaker, Counter Stance, and Falling Judgment.
- Greatsword: wide cleaves and heavy slams. Its three moves are Great Cleave, Earthsplitter, and Whirlwind.
Its gear and the three branches are on the Warrior class page.
Thief Super classes: Rogue, Assassin, Beast Tamer
Thief goes beyond plain knife attacks: each branch finds a different way to deal damage, from traps to marked targets to animals.
- Rogue: traps and knives. Its three moves are Tripwire, Deadfall, and Knife Storm.
- Assassin: marked targets and powerful single hits. Its three moves are Shadow Cuts, Death Mark, and Last Rites.
- Beast Tamer: attacks based on animals. Its three moves are Wolf Pack, Viper Strike, and Bear Maul.
Its gear and the three branches are on the Thief class page.
Mage Super classes: Cleric, Hexer, Summoner
Roonby says the Mage branches lean toward supporting the team or controlling the battlefield rather than only direct damage.
- Cleric: holy attacks with ally recovery. Its three moves are Smite, Mending Light, and Judgment.
- Hexer: binding and weakening enemies. Its three moves are Hex Bind, Hex Bolt, and Doom.
- Summoner: calling creatures into combat. Its three moves are Arcane Familiar, Stone Guardian, and Phoenix Call.
Its gear and the three branches are on the Mage class page.
Fist Super classes: Monk, Brawler, Oni
Roonby says all three Fist branches are about physical combat, but they differ in how they hit: repeated palm strikes, heavy punches or demon-themed attacks.
- Monk: Chi and repeated palm strikes. Its three moves are Chi Palm, Hundred Fists, and Heaven's Palm.
- Brawler: heavy punches and guard breaks. Its three moves are Haymaker, Guard Break, and Knockout.
- Oni: demon-themed attacks. Its three moves are Demon Mask, Demonfire Palm, and Kanabo Smash.
Its gear and the three branches are on the Fist class page.
Bard Super classes: Minstrel, Siren, Pianist
Roonby says all three Bard branches use music, but their directions differ: healing and sleep songs, offensive and draining vocals, or piano-themed attacks.
- Minstrel: healing and sleep-oriented songs. Its three moves are Soothing Hymn, Lullaby, and Verse of Renewal.
- Siren: offensive and draining vocals. Its three moves are Shriek, Echo, and Crescendo.
- Pianist: piano-themed attacks. Its three moves are Staccato, Moonlight Sonata, and Grand Finale.
Its gear and the three branches are on the Bard class page.
Archer Super classes: Ranger, Deadeye, Corsair
Roonby describes each Archer branch as a different approach to ranged combat: falcons and snares, precise shots, or firearms and explosives.
- Ranger: falcon attacks, snares and arrow volleys. Its three moves are Falcon Dive, Briar Snare, and Arrow Storm.
- Deadeye: accurate shots and piercing attacks. Its three moves are Headshot, Piercing Line, and Kill Shot.
- Corsair: firearms, explosives and cannons. Its three moves are Flintlock Parley, Powder Keg, and Cannon Barrage.
Its gear and the three branches are on the Archer class page.
How to choose a Super class
The guide we read does not rank the 18 branches and says there is no need to assume one is universally stronger, so we show no Super class tier list. Choose by the style each branch is described with above: Cleric and Minstrel are the healing branches, Hexer binds and weakens enemies, Summoner and Beast Tamer fight with creatures, and the rest are built around their own attacks. Weapons follow the base class, so check the weapons list and the weapon forging guide before you commit.
